ServiceSource Warrior Bridge Makes Christmas Bright for Local Veterans

For the second year in a row, our Warrior Bridge Program selected a group of veterans and their families to be the recipients of some extra help over the holiday season as part of the Holidays for Heroes project.  Thanks to the generosity of ServiceSource employees, family and friends, partners and community philanthropists, more than $3,600 in gift cards were delivered, just in time for the holidays.

One local recipient was surprised and grateful when presented with the gift cards at work, telling Warrior Bridge: "I just had to tell my kids we cannot have a Christmas tree for the first time ever. I am picking one up on the way home from work today."

While these veterans are gainfully employed with the assistance of Warrior Bridge, their disabilities and difficulties transitioning to civilian life have made for a long road to financial recovery. Warrior Bridge created the Holidays for Heroes program to honor the sacrifices of these veterans and their families, and give them the kind of holiday they deserve.  A big thank you to everyone who donated to this great cause!
