Successful Transitions Offers
Professional Educational Series

ServiceSource's Successful Transitions program kicked off its professional educational series in January with a dynamic presentation called “Ethics in Action.”  Licensed Mental Health Counselors Susan Mullins Overman and Sandra Seeger of South Tampa Psychodrama Training encouraged attendees to explore ethical dilemmas of the electronic age and how the emergence of social media may affect our professional relationships and boundaries.

The Successful Transitions Educational Series is aimed at specifically addressing the training needs of professionals that serve individuals with disabilities who are 14-22 years of age. Upcoming training includes:

Substance Use Disorders: Implications for the VR Counselor
Friday, March 22, 1:30-4:30pm

Effects of Illness on the Family System
Friday, June 21, 1:30-4:30pm

CRC continuing education units are available for attendees. Visit www.servicesource.org/successful-transitions for more information and to sign up.

Successful Transitions Participants
are on the Move!

As we all know, unreliable transportation can be a real barrier to employment.  ServiceSource partners with a variety of community organizations to remove these types of barriers and others for program participants.  This month, God’s Pedal Power Ministry donated several refurbished bikes to participants of the Successful Transitions Program who are ready to work.  An all volunteer and faith-based program, God’s Pedal Power has been donating bikes since 1997 and continues to provide community linkage in Tampa, FL.
